  The Floor Room -exclusively at John Lewis & Partners (since I've complained John Lewis say they have 'no control or influence' over this company. Even though their website says the 'partnership' helps to offer customers 'a more efficient service'! Not in our experience! After I complained about all the issues listed below, The Floor Room sent a lengthy reply explaining the reasons behind why so much has gone wrong. Although they acknowledge all the issues, they have refused to offer any compensation or even a goodwill gesture. Instead, they told me, 'it seems futile for either party to pursue this matter'. A staggering response after- *misleading us from the start about lead times for fitting. *misinforming us (website with incorrect info) *breaking an agreement (no show on day of fitting the flooring & no contact/update till we made contact) causing us to have to cancel the installation of our bathroom and guests staying. We lost £100s *lack of communication on their part (not answering their phones, not replying to messages and agreeing to call but not doing so-their phones weren’t working! *sending a floor sample 2 weeks later than promised (and a week after we cancelled the floor) and leaving us to pick up a postage charge! *messing us around to such an extent that we have lost £100s of pounds They are sorry. No compensation. No good will gesture but they’re really sorry.

  The flooring looks lovely but we've been twice now and nobody is in. No way to check when they are staffed or not so had to travel a long way twice to find we'd had a wasted journey. Give up now and have gone somewhere else
